Railways The state has an extensive and well developed railway system . All the important cities of Jharkhand have rail connections with the other parts of the country . Several new projects with rest of the country.                                                                                            

Road Network The state is very well connected by road . A National Highway stretch of 1600 km passes through the State Highway . The government plans to  connect all districts headquarters with the State Capital , interconnect district and block headquarters , strengthen and double - lane all State Highways , connect all four tourist and religious olaces and provide connectivity to all villages through all weather roads. To realise the vision in the roads sector following strategies will be adopted .Construction of quality road as per specification of Indian Road Congress (IRC) the capacity depending upon traffic flow.Double laning for heavy Traffic corridor. Construction of flyovers and by-passes wherever necessary plan to arrest congestion .Enforcement of quality assurance plan with the help of national /international consultant .Provisions of mobile maintenance unit to be provided. Creating appropriate regulatory environment for promoting private participation in road construction  sector on BOT/BOOT basis. Introduction of effictive monotoring system.                                                                                            

Water The State possesses a large number of water bodies , reservoir and river basins.The area witnesses an average rainfall of 1400 mm.

Airways RANCHI is well connected with Delhi , Patna and Mumbai.
