Purana Qila Built on what
is said to be the site of ancient Indraprastha, this fort dates back
to around 1540 when it was completed by Sher Shah during his brief
period of reign. With three impressive gates and a towering wall,
the fort contains a beautiful and well-preserved mosque, a public
bath, a library and an archaeological museum. Excavations have been
carried out to discover indications of Indraprastha's
existence. |
